Rusty Lemorande is an Independent Entertainment Professional with quite the extensive career in the Hollywood entertainment industry. His list of accomplishments include working as a writer, producer, director, actor, and more on a number of hit films including Captain EO, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Electric Dreams and Caddyshack.
Previously in his career, Rusty Lemorande worked as a cinematographer and later news producer for a Wisconsin-based CBS affiliate where he gained experience in writing and directing by interviewing subjects, researching news story ideas, and writing copy for those on air. While researching news stories one day, Rusty learned of a Hollywood film coming to Chicago and left to pursue a position on the film as an entry level production assistant. He worked his way up to location scout and was soon employed for other film and TV projects throughout Chicago.
It was after the success of his work in Chicago that Rusty moved to LA where he got in with a powerhouse in the industy, CAA (Creative Artists Agency) where he worked as the motion picture department head’s assistant for the legendary Marty Baum. This position catapulted him into a position as the head of development for an important production company that went on to bring us hits like Die Laughing, Stand By Your Man, Yentl, and Caddyshack.
